David Blume

“Bucky’s quote was ‘make the world work for 100% of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone’ — and Dave Blume is one of the top people in the world that’s ever truly made that come true.”
— George Orbelian, Board Member at the Buckminster Fuller Institute,
fiscal sponsor of Whiskey Hill Farms

David Blume is an inventor, researcher, organic farmer, author, teacher and doer with decades of experience at the cutting edge of permaculture and regenerative agricultural technology — with unique expertise in alcohol fuel as it fits into local-scale ecological no-waste solutions. Replicated, these systems solve so many of the Earth’s seemingly unsolvable problems.

Blume is a teacher and implementer of these solutions. He specializes in sharing things that very few people know. Along the way, he shows the way to a tremendous number of opportunities for prosperity in the regenerative green economy.

Whiskey Hill Farms & Science Center

Whiskey Hill Farms & Science Center is David Blume’s 14-acre organic farm in Santa Cruz County, California, dedicated to solving problems for the Earth and for communities. It is a hub for design, innovation, development, and sharing of resources, education, technology, and services that accelerate adoption of regenerative agriculture practices.

Blume’s goal is to have this model replicated widely by farmer/operators, who will find it at least as profitable as large agribusiness farming. Benefits to the community include enhanced and expanded economic development, ecological food production, organic fertility and water management, and energy resilience.

Whiskey Hill Farms features an alcohol distillery and co-products integration to create a unique ecologically elegant loop of high-value natural products and co-products. Please see this PDF The Process & Benefits of Our Double Fermentation for a very brief overview.
